It was Swami Vivekananda's express desire that students of all ages, including children, were made acquainted with the Hindu teachings and personalities, presented in a form and manner appropriate to them. This illustrated biography on Sri Ramakrishna for young readers is one result of Swamiji's desire. This is not a comic book, though it is similarly formatted. About three fourths of each page is text at about a 5th or 6th grade reading level. A colorful picture adorns the rest of each page providing a visual aid to the accompanying words.
